NOTE: Most Samsung TVs are offline (have no IP address) when the TV is off. For that reason it’s not possible to send an ON command then. As a workarround, you can connect a Chromecast to the HDMI input. The chromecast can send a ON signal to your TV. Make sure you power the chromecast externally (not with the USB from the TV, because that is also OFF when the TV is OFF). See my other modules for the Chromecast module!

2014: UN55H8000 (2014)
2016 and later TVs use Tizen OS. A new logic is on it’s way to control your TV with Tizen OS! Be patient…
